When you participate in the Thresh Core Engagement Study, we collect the following information:
- Demographic Information: Age, sex, weight, height, and self-reported fitness level
- Contact Information: Email address for sending your Participant ID and study communications
- Device Information: Primary smartphone type (iPhone, Samsung, or Other) and smartwatch model
- Movement Data: Sensor data from your smartwatch during exercise recordings, including accelerometer, gyroscope, and other motion sensors
- Participant ID: A unique identifier (format: P-XXX) assigned to you upon registration
No personally identifiable information such as your name is collected or required.
Your information is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Training our AI model to detect injury-risk movement patterns in real-time
- Developing the Thresh Injury Prevention App
- Sending you your Participant ID and study-related communications
- Analyzing movement data to identify safe vs. unsafe core engagement patterns
All data is anonymized and identified only by your Participant ID. Your movement data is never linked to your name or other personally identifiable information beyond what you provide during registration.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- Encrypted data transmission and storage
- Secure cloud infrastructure with access controls
- Regular security audits and updates
- Limited access to data restricted to authorized research team members only

Your movement data and demographic information are used exclusively by the Thresh team for developing the Injury Prevention App. We will never:
